In this Schedule any word or phrase to which a meaning has been assigned in the Act, shall have that meaning and, unless the context otherwise indicates—

"foot and mouth disease"

means the disease as specified in column 1 of Table 2 of the Regulations and as described in column 2 of Table 2 of the Regulations opposite thereto;

"the Act"

means the Animal Diseases Act, 1984 (Act No. 35 of 1984);

"the Regulations"

means the Animal Diseases Regulations as published by Government Notice No. R. 2026 of 26 September 1986, as amended by Government Notices Nos.
