| (1) | The Minister may, by notice in the Gazette— |
| (a) | withdraw the declaration, issued under section 7, of an area as a core astronomy advantage area or as part of an existing core astronomy advantage area; or |
| (b) | exclude any part of an existing core astronomy advantage area from the area. |
| (2) | The withdrawal or exclusion can only be done where the purpose of the declaration as provided for in section 7(2)(b), (c) or (d) is no longer necessary. |
