| (1) | If an officer arrests or detains a person with or without a warrant, that officer must, as soon as reasonably possible, subject to section 35 of the Constitution, bring that person to a police station under the control of the South African Police Service or, if a warrant expressly stipulates another place, bring the person to that place. |
| (2) | If an officer seizes anything found in a search conducted in terms of this Act, that officer must, as soon as possible— |
| (a) | inform the relevant organ of state of the seizure; and |
| (b) | deliver the object seized in a manner, and to a place or relevant organ of state, as required by the relevant legislation. |
