| (1) | A contribution order and a provisional contribution order have the effect of a maintenance order and a provisional maintenance order in terms of the Maintenance Act and the Reciprocal Enforcement of Maintenance Orders Act, 1963 (Act No. 80 of 1963), |
| (2) | Sections 31 and 40 of the Maintenance Act, read with such changes as the context may require, apply to a person who refuses or fails to comply with a contribution order. |
