authorised person
means—
| a) | any member of the Service as defined in section 1 of the South African Police Service Act, 1995 (Act No. 68 of 1995); |
| b) | any person appointed in writing by the management of a designated airport, with the approval of the Minister or any person authorised by him or her to furnish such approval; |
| c) | any member of the South African National Defence Force, as defined in paragraph (a) of the definition of 'member' in section 1 of the Defence Act, 2002 (Act No. 42 of 2002); |
| d) | any person designated in writing by the Director as an authorised person in terms of section 88(1); or |
| e) | any other person appointed in writing by the Minister as an authorised person for the purposes of this Act; |
