| (1) | The operator of a commercial air transport free balloon shall ensure that a flight crew member undergoes conversion training in accordance with regulation 69.03.06 when changing from one type or class of balloon to another type or class balloon for which a new type class rating is required, and that he or she— |
| (a) | have accumulated sufficient hours relevant to the size category; |
| (b) | have undergone 5 hours of experience on supervised operational balloon flights on the relevant size category; |
| (c) | been signed out in their pilot logbook by an appropriately rated examiner. |
