| (1) | A DTO may determine the competency of a student prior to training being undertaken in order to determine an entry point at which a student enters a DTO approved training programme or is assessed. |
| (2) | A DTO shall retain a record of competency assessment referred to in subrequlation (1) in a student training file for record keeping purposes. |
