| (1) | An applicant for the issuing of a glider pilot instructor rating shall undergo a skills test to demonstrate to an appropriately rated flight instructor the ability to perform as a flight instructor the procedures and manoeuvres as prescribed in Document SA-CATS 68 with a degree of competency appropriate to the privileges granted to holder of a glider pilot instructor rating. |
| (2) | A skills test, referred to in subregulation (1), shall be demonstrated in a glider for which glider pilot instructor rating is sought. |
| (4) | A skills test referred to in subregulation (1) shall be undertaken by an applicant within 12 months of passing the theoretical knowledge examination referred to in regulation 68.03.4, and within the 90 days immediately preceding the date of application. |
