In this Act, unless the context indicates otherwise—
"Chairperson"
means the chairperson of the Commission;
"Commission"
means the Commission for Gender Equality referred to in section 181 of the Constitution;

"committee"
means a committee established under section 6;
"Constitution"
means the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996;

"investigation"
means an investigation contemplated in section 11 (1) (e);
"joint committee"
means a joint committee of the Houses of Parliament appointed in accordance with the Standing Orders of Parliament for the purpose of considering a matter contemplated in section 3 (2) and (5);
"Minister"
means the Minister responsible for women, children and people with disabilities;

"premises"
includes land, any road, building or structure, or any vehicle, conveyance, ship, boat, vessel, aircraft or container.
"Public Service Commission"
