Note: How to charge for intravenous infusions

Practitioners are entitled to charge according to the appropriate item whenever they personally insert the cannula (but may only charge for this service once every 24 hours). For managing the infusion as such e.g. checking It when visiting the patient er prescribing the substance, no fee may be charged since this service is regarded as part of the services the doctor renders during consultation
