Purchase

(1)	The Minister may, subject to the provisions of subsection (2), at the request of a member of the Board appoint an alternate member for that member.

(2)	When a member of the Board is absent from a meeting the alternate member concerned may attend the meeting, and when so attending, the alternate member is deemed to be a member of the Board.

(3)	No alternate member is appointed for the Chairperson or Deputy Chairperson or a member referred to in section 5(2)(c)(i) and (ii).
