I, the Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, as designated under Section 3 of the Disaster Management Act, 2002 (Act No. 57 of 2002) ("the Act"), in terms of section 27(5)(c) the Act, hereby extends the national state of disaster that I declared on 4 March 2020 by Government Notice 243, published in Government Gazette 43066, to 4 July 2020, taking into account the need to continue augmenting the existing mitigation measures undertaken by organs of state to address the impact of the disaster.
