In terms of section 5 of the Financial Sector and Deposit Insurance Levies (Administration) and Deposit Insurance Premiums Act, 2022 (Act No. 12 of 2022 - "the Act"), I, Enoch Godongwana, Minister of Finance, determines that—

(a)	the Act, except the provisions referred to in paragraphs (b) and (d), takes effect on 1 April 2023;

(b)	sections 2(2)(b) and (c) and 3 take effect on 1 April 2024;

(c)

section 4 in respect of the amendments contained in the Schedule to the Act to the Pension Funds Act, 1956 (Act No. 24 of 1956), the Banks Act, 1990 (Act No. 94 of 1990), the Mutual Banks Act, 1993 (Act No. 124 of 1993), and the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act, 2002 (Act No. 37 of 2002), take effect on 1 April 2023; and

(d)	section 4 takes effect in respect of the amendments contained in the Schedule to the Act to the Financial Sector Regulation Act, 2017 (Act No. 9 of 2017) on the dates indicated in the following table:
