I, Charles Nqakula, Minister for Safety and Security, in terms of item 11(1)(a) of Schedule 1 to the Firearms Control Act, 2000 (Act No. 60 of 2000), hereby extend, until 31 March 2006, the period determined in Government Notice No. 974 dated 20 August 2004, within which the following licence holders must apply for a corresponding licence in terms of the Firearms Control Act, 2000:

Natural persons who were born during the period 1 January to 31 March of any particular year, and who are holders of a licence in terms of the Arms and Ammunition Act, 1969 (Act No. 75 of 1969).
