| (1) | A member or an alternate member of the Board, except the Chief Executive Officer, shall hold office for such period, but not exceeding three years, as the Minister may determine at the time of his or her appointment. |
| (2) | Any person whose term of office as a member or an alternate member of the Board has expired shall be eligible for reappointment. |
| (3) | If a member or an alternate member of the Board for any reason vacates his or her office, the Minister may appoint a person to act in the place of such member or alternate member for the unexpired period of his or her term of office. |

| (5) | With the exception of the Chief Executive Officer or a member or an alternate member who is in the full-time employment of the State or the Council, the members or alternate members of the Board shall be appointed on such conditions, including conditions relating to the payment of remuneration and allowances, as the Minister may determine with the concurrence of the Minister of Finance. |
