I, Dr Nkosinathi Sishi, Director-General of Higher Education and Training and the Registrar of Private Higher Education Institutions, in terms of section 62(1) of the Higher Education Act, 1997 (Act No. 101 of 1997) read with regulation 18(1) of the Regulations for the Registration of Private Higher Education Institutions, 2016, hereby cancel the registration of Nazarene Theological College NPC as a private higher education institution with immediate effect since Nazarene Theological College NPC no longer meets the quality assurance requirements of the Higher Education Quality Committee of the Council on Higher Education and it has therefore ceased to meet the eligibility criteria for providing higher education as required by section 1 of the Act and it ceases to meet the requirements for registration as required by sections 1 and 53(1)(b)(ii) of the Act and Regulations 21(a) and (d).
