I, Pravin Jamnadas Gordhan, Minister of Finance, hereby give notice that Part VIII of Chapter II of The Income Tax Act, 1962 (Act No. 58 of 1962), (Dividends Withholding Tax), as inserted by section 56 of the Revenue Laws Amendment Act, 2008 (Act No. 60 of 2008), substituted by section 53 of the Taxation Laws Amendment Act 2009 (Act No. 17 of 2009), and amended by sections 70, 71, 72, 73, 74 and 153 of the Taxation Laws Amendment Act, 2010 (Act No. 7 of 2010), and sections 75, 76, 77, 78, 79, 80, 81, 82. 83, 84 and 158 of the Taxation Laws Amendment Act, 2011, comes into operation on 1 April 2012.
