22. Employees receiving higher wages than those prescribed

Purchase

(1)

An employee who is Included in one of the classes mentioned in PART II of this Agreement and who at the date of coming into operation of this Agreement is receiving a higher wage than the minimum wage for such class as specified in Annexure A shall, for as long as he remains in the service of the same employer and is engaged in the same class of work, receive a wage not lower than the wage he is receiving on such a date, subject to the condition that the Council may authorize a reduction of higher wage to the level prescribed in this Agreement for an employee of his class.
