Clause 42 - Prohibition of Cession and/or Set Off

 

(1) No claim whatsoever by any employee against the Council shall be capable of being ceded and no purported cession thereof shall be binding upon the Council.

 

(2) Set-off between any amounts payable to an employee referred to in Clause 16 of this Agreement and any amounts payable by such employee, the deduction of which is prohibited by that clause, shall not operate, and is expressly excluded, and this provision shall be deemed to be a term of every contract of employment between employer and employee.
