The Minister of Transport, under section 28 of the Prevention and Combating of Pollution of the Sea by Oil Act, 1981 (Act No. 6 of 1981), has made the regulations contained in the Schedule hereto.

[NOTES: Paragraph 5 of Notice No. R. 1613, dated 5 December 1997, substitutes "the Marine Pollution (Control and Civil Liability) Act" for "the Prevention and Combating of Pollution of the Sea by Oil Act". In terms of regulation 10 of the SAMSA Regulations 1998, references to the Minister of Transport, Director-General: Transport or the Department of Transport must be read as references to the Authority.]
