I, Ebrahim Patel, Minister of Trade, Industry and Competition, hereby advertise a Final Notice in terms of section 15(1)(b) of the Merchandise Marks Act 1941 that prohibits the use of words, device, logo, pictures and drawings as depicted below or similar drawings which might cause confusion with any trade, business, profession or occupation or event, or in connection with any trade mark, mark or trade description applied to goods, save where the use thereof is by the authority of the CIPC. Proprietors of identical or similar marks already in use will not be affected by this prohibition. The prohibition of this logo / mark will be perpetual and absolute in nature.
