The master of a South African ship which is at sea shall, at least once in every ten days, cause an inspection to be made of the provisions and water provided for the use of the seafarers and passengers and the crew accommodation and the accommodation for passengers, for the purpose of ascertaining whether the same are being maintained in accordance with the requirements of this Act and all other laws. The person making the inspection shall enter a statement of the result of the inspection in the official log-book.
