(1) | The Director-General may, by writing, authorise an SMS employee, or acting SMS employee, in the Department of Transport to exercise all or any of the Director-General's powers and functions in terms of these regulations. |
(2) | The Director -General may at any time, in writing, vary or revoke an authorisation. |
(3) | To avoid doubt, the giving of an authorisation under subregulation (1) does not prevent the exercise of a power or function by the Director-General personally. |
