Part 3 : Insurance Certificates

(1)	Subject to subsection (2), this Part applies to every ship that is carrying more than 2 000 tonnes of oil in bulk as cargo and, where such ship is unregistered, this Part applies to that ship as if it were registered in the state whose flag the ship is flying.

(2)	This Part does not apply to a Government ship, or other ship operated by a state, including a ship operated by the Government of the Republic, that is being used for non-commercial purposes.
