(1) |
Unless indicated otherwise, after a competent authority has reached a decision on an application, the competent authority must, in writing and within 5 days— |
(a) |
provide the applicant with the decision; |
(b) |
give reasons for the decision to the applicant; and |
(c) |
where applicable, draw the attention of the applicant to the fact that an appeal may be lodged against the decision in terms of the National Appeal Regulations, if such appeal is available in the circumstances of the decision. |

(2) |
The applicant must, in writing, within 14 days of the date of the decision on the application ensure that— |
(a) |
all registered interested and affected parties are provided with access to the decision and the reasons for such decision; and |
(b) |
the attention of all registered interested and affected parties is drawn to the fact that an appeal may be lodged against the decision in terms of the National Appeals Regulations, if such appeal is available in the circumstances of the decision. |

For the purpose of this regulation, the decision includes the complete environmental authorisation granted or refused. |
