| (1) |
An application for the export of hazardous waste submitted to the competent authority must include the following— |
| (a) |
a letter of request from the exporter; |
| (b) |
a completed notification form where required by the country of import; |
| (c) |
a waste management licence for the receiving waste treatment facility or equivalent legal document in the country of import; |
| (d) |
a contract between an exporter and an importer; |
| (e) |
applicable insurance or other financial guarantee covering the movement of waste and environmental clean-up in case of an incident; and |
| (f) |
safety data sheet (SDS) for the waste. |
| (2) |
An applicant must obtain consent from the competent authority before exporting any hazardous waste. |
| (3) |
No export of hazardous waste shall commence without consent from the competent authority of the country of transit, where applicable. |
