Registration of Dealers in Heritage Objects and the Control of Trade in Heritage Objects

Chapter I : Definitions

1. Definitions

 

In these regulations any word or expression which has been defined in the National Heritage Resources Act, 1999 (Act No. 25 of 1999) shall have the meaning assigned to it in that Act.

 

1.1 "The Act" means the National Heritage Resources Act, 1999 (Act No. 25 of 1999);

 

1.2 "A Dealer" means any person, a natural person, a trust or a juristic person, who is in possession of a Heritage Object and holds a permit to deal in and do anything as may be authorized in terms of the Act;

 

1.3 "An Auctioneer" means any person who conducts sales by auction
