I, Ebrahim Patel, the Minister of Trade, Industry and Competition, hereby under Section 13(1) of the National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications Act (Act 5 of 2008), withdraw the compulsory specification for single-capped fluorescent lamps (VC 9091) and the compulsory specification for incandescent lamps (VC 8043), and replace them with the compulsory specification for energy efficiency and functional performance requirements of general services lamps as set out in the attached schedule. These requirements should be read together with those of the compulsory specification for safety requirements of general service lamps (VC 9110). The compulsory specification for energy efficiency and functional performance requirements of general services lamps shall be effective as set out in section 9 of the schedule.
