I, Dr MJ Phaahla, Minister of Health, hereby, in terms of section 63(3) of the Occupational Diseases in Mines and Works Act, 1973 (Act No. 78 of 1973), adjust the levies payable by controlled mines and works to the Mines and Works Compensation Fund in terms of section 62 from 1 April 2024 as follows:

In addition, in terms of section 63(2) of the Occupational Diseases in Mines and Works Act, 1973 (Act No. 78 of 1973), the levy for the purposes of research remains at R0.02 per worker per risk shift.
