In these Guidelines these terms means the following, unless the context indicates otherwise-
"child"
means a person under 18 years old;
"child worker"
means a child referred to in the definition of "employer" and who works in terms of paragraph 3 of these guidelines;
"employer"
means a person who employs, or provides work to a child or permits a child to work at any place under their control or with any machinery under their control, or allows a child to assist in any other manner in carrying on their business.
