1) | The chief inspector may publish in the Government Gazette for the purpose of these regulations a document, which may be revised or reissued from time to time, entitled "Categorisation of Biological Agents according to hazard and categories of containment'' (Annexure 6) to these Regulation containing a list of biological agents together with the classification of each agent. |
2) | Where a biological agent has not been assigned a classification, the employer and self-employed person shall provisionally classify that agent in accordance with subregulation below, having regard to the nature of the agent and the properties of which he or she may reasonably be expected to be aware. |
3) | When provisionally classifying a biological agent, the employer and self-employed person shall assign that agent to one of the groups and if there is according to its level-of risk of infection doubt as to which of two alternative groups would be most appropriate, the HBA shall be assigned to the higher of the two. |
