South African Pharmacy Council

The South African Pharmacy Council hereby publishes for implementation, the scope of practice for a Primary Care Drug Therapy (PCDT) Pharmacist, the competency standards of such pharmacists and the criteria for the approval of a curriculum of a PCDT course.

SCHEDULE:

Part 1: Scope of practice for a Primary Care Drug Therapy (PCDT) pharmacist.

Part 2: Competency standards for a Primary Care Drug Therapy (PCDT) pharmacist.

Part 3: Criteria for accreditation/approval by the South African Pharmacy Council of a curriculum of a PCDT course.

In this notice ''the Act" shall mean the Pharmacy Act, 53 of 1974 (as amended), and any expression to which a meaning has been assigned in the Act shall bear such meaning.
