In terms of regulation 8(1)(b) of the Regulations relating to the Ownership and Licensing of Pharmacies made in terms of the Pharmacy Act, 1974, an application for a licence for the premises wherein or from where the business of a pharmacy is to be carried on must be accompanied by an application fee as determined by the Director-General of Health.
The Director-General has determined the fee in the Schedule and the fee is hereby published for general information. The fee includes Value Added Tax (VAT).
SCHEDULE
(1) | The following application fees shall be payable to the Council: |
(a) | A fee to accompany the application form: R1000-00; |
(b) | Notification to the Department of Health in the event of change of the responsible pharmacist will be subject of an application fee to recover administrative and recording costs: R200-00. |
