[Section 12(2)(a)]
(1) | The minimum norms and standards for prevention and early intervention services contemplated in Chapter 3 apply to community-based services with the necessary changes as required by the context. |
(2) | Aftercare programmes conducted by community-based services must— |
(a) | be available regularly; |
(b) | individualised as per the service user's requirements; |
(c) | include family and support systems; |
(d) | have motivational elements; |
(e) | focus on reintegration into the community; |
(f) | be developmental in approach; |
(g) | be for a specific period of time; |
(h) | provide room for relapse; |
(i) | be easily accessible for the service user by being— |
(i) | available after hours for service users who work or have other responsibilities during the day; and |
(ii) | conducted from satellite offices or centres; and |
(k) | be affordable in relation to the economic class of each person. |
