DRUGS AND DRUG TRAFFICKING ACT, NO. 140 OF 1992:—

1.	Amends section 1 of the Drugs and Drug Trafficking Act, No. 140 of 1992, as follows:—

paragraph (a) deletes the definition of “convert”;

paragraph (b) deletes definition of “defined crime”;

paragraph (c) deletes the definition of “economic offence”;

paragraph (d) deletes the definition of “financial institution”; and

paragraph (e) deletes the definition of “proceeds”.

2 and 3.

Repeals respectively sections 6 and 7 of the Drugs and Drug Trafficking Act, No. 140 of 1992.

4.	Amends section 9 of the Drugs and Drug Trafficking Act, No. 140 of 1992, by substituting subsection (1).

5.	Amends section 10 of the Drugs and Drug Trafficking Act, No. 140 of 1992, by deleting subsection (2).
