34.1	Composition

34.1.1

The members of the Learnership Committee shall be nominated by the chambers.

34.1.2

Each chamber may nominate two members, one representing employees and one representing employers.

34.1.3

The Learnership Committee may appoint a chairperson who must generally supervise, manage and co-ordinate the functions of the Learnership Committee.

34.2	Duties and functions

34.2.1

The Learnership Committee must—

develop policies, principles, criteria and guidelines related to learnerships in accordance with Chapter 4 of the Skills Development Act; and

34.2.3

develop and recommend plans for the implementation of learnerships.
