In these guidelines
'the Act'
means the Skills Development Act, 1998 (Act No 97 of 1998) and the transitional provisions in Schedule 2. Any word or expression to which a meaning is attached in the Act, has that meaning;
‘Industry Training Board’
means a training board established and accredited in terms of the Manpower Training Act, 1981 and it includes a training scheme established in terms of Section 39(5) of the Manpower Training Act, 1981;
‘designated SETA’
means a SETA referred to in item 4(3)(b) of the Act.
‘fixed date’
means 20 March 2000.
‘transfer’
means alienate, assign, cede, convey, deliver, consign, sign over by deed, endorsement, registration or otherwise.
‘transitional provisions’
refers to schedule 2 of the Act.
