1. Definitions

In this Act, unless the context indicates otherwise—

means a Commissioner for Small Claims appointed under section 9;

means a court established under section 2;

means a district created under section 2(1)(a) of the Magistrates' Courts Act, 1944 ( Act No. 32 of 1944 );

means the Minister of Justice;

means prescribed under section 25;

means to take down in writing or in shorthand;

means the rules made under section 25;

includes the rules.
