| (1) | A declaration of renunciation of South African citizenship in terms of section 7(1) of the Act, must be in a form containing substantially the information in Annexure 4 (DHA-246). |
| (2) | The form referred to in subregulation (1) must be completed and subsequently forwarded, in duplicate, to the Director-General. |
| (3) | On receipt of the form referred to in subregulation (1), the Director-General must confirm that it has been duly registered, and provide the person who made the declaration with a copy and file the other copy on that person's records. |
