| (1) | If the term of office of a member is terminated in terms of section 9, the vacancy must be filled, with the necessary changes, in accordance with section 6. |
| (2) | The term of office of a member appointed in terms of subsection (1), is the remainder of the term of office of the relevant predecessor. |
| (3) |
| (a) | If the office of chairperson becomes vacant in terms of section 9, the remaining members and the Minister must act in accordance with section 7(1). |
| (b) | The person so appointed as chairperson holds office for the remainder of the term of office of the relevant predecessor. |
