(1) | A charge of R 1 186 per hour or part thereof, subject to a minimum of R 23 720, is payable for considering an application and documents for the service under regulation 21 of the Marine Pollution (Prevention and Combating of Pollution of the Sea by Oil) Regulations, 1984 for a once off transhipment of oil request and includes cargo and bunkers outside of an approved transfer area. |
(2) | An initial charge of R 1 186 per hour or part thereof, is payable by the receiving ship for the evaluation, reviewing of documentation and approval for a request to receive bunkers within an approved transfer area, outside a port. |
(3) | An initial charge of R 1 186 per hour or part thereof, is payable by subregulation 4 pre-approved oil tanker to conduct oil transhipment for the purposes of replenishing its cargo. |
(4) | The following charges are payable for the approval and assessment of a ship to engage in regular ship to ship transfer operations in an approved transfer area: |

(6) | A charge of R 1 186 per hour or part thereof, subject to a minimum of R 2 372, is payable for a transhipment of a harmful substance, other than oil for considering an application and documents for the service under section 21 of Marine Pollution (Control and Civil Liability) Act 1981 (Act 6 of 1981). |
(7) | A charge of R 1 186 per hour or part thereof, and travel and subsistence expenses, are payable for attendance by a representing officer referred to in regulation 17 of the Marine Pollution (Prevention and Combating of Pollution of the Sea by Oil) Regulations, 1984. |
