Proclamation Notice 135 of 2023

President of the Republic of South Africa

In terms of section 97 of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996, I hereby, transfer the aviation meteorological oversight function specified in the South African Weather Service Act, 2001 (Act No. 8 of 2001), to the specified Cabinet member as set out in the Schedule with effect from the date of publication of this Proclamation in the Gazette.

TRANSFER OF FUNCTIONS UNDER SECTION 97 OF THE CONSTITUTION OF THE REPUBLIC OF SOUTH AFRICA, 1996:

In terms of section 97 of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996, I hereby, by means of the accompanying proclamation in English and Afrikaans, transfer the aviation meteorological oversight function specified in section 3(f) of the South African Weather Service Act, 2001 (Act No. 8 of 2001), to the Minister responsible for Transport with effect from the date of publication of this Proclamation in the Gazette.
