| (1) | A witness in any proceedings of the Court and any person who accompanies any such witness on account of the youth or infirmity due to old age or any disability of such witness, must be paid such allowances as may be prescribed in terms of section 37 of the Superior Courts Act. |
| (2) | Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in any other law, the Court may order that no allowances or only a portion of the prescribed allowances must be paid to any witness. |
