The Electoral Laws Amendment Act, 2021, (Act No. 4 of 2021) has updated and made Amendments to:

Electoral Commission Act, 1996

Electoral Act, 1998, and

Local Government: Municipal Electoral Act, 2000,

– effective 27 August 2021 per Proclamation R.35 of 27 August 2021.

 

The Public Finance Management Act, 1999 (Act No. 1 of 1999), has been updated with the Rate of Interest on Government Loans – 1 January 2022, as per Notice No. 746, GG45703, dated 31 December 2021.

 

The Marketing of Agricultural Products Act, 1996 (Act No. 47 of 1996), has been updated by the Continuation of Statutory Levies on Milk and other Dairy Products and the Determination of Guideline Prices in respect of Milk and other Dairy Products, as per Notice No. 1653 of GG45703, dated 31 December 2021.

 

The Customs and Excise Act, 1964 (Act No. 91 of 1964), has been updated by Amendments to Customs and Excise Rules – Rule 75.00, as per Notice No. R.1648 of GG45702 dated 31 December 2021.

 

The Disaster Management Act, 2002 (Act No. 57 of 2002), has been updated with Amendments to Regulations 66, 69, 75, 77 and 80 of the Regulations under Notice R.480 of 29 April 2020 – Chapter 6: Adjusted Alert Level 1, as per Notice No. R. 1659 of GG45715 dated 30 December 2021.

 

The Liquor Products Act, 1989 (Act No. 60 of 1989), has been updated by the Defining of Production Area: Prince Albert, as per Board Notice 187 of GG45690 dated 24 December 2021.

 

The Electronic Communications Act, 2005 (No. 36 of 2005), has been updated with the Amendment of the RADIO FREQUENCY SPECTRUM REGULATIONS, 2015 under Notice No. 279 of 2015, as per Notice No. 737, GG45690, dated 24 December 2021.

 

The Air Traffic and Navigation Services Company Act, 1993 (Act No. 45 of 1993), has been updated by the Publication of Air Traffic Service Charges – effective 1 April 2022 as per Notice No. 740 of GG45690 dated 24 December 2021.

 

The Airports Company Act, 1993 (Act No. 44 of 1993), has been updated by the publication of Airport Charges – effective 1 April 2022, as per Notice No. 745 of GG 45703, dated 21 December 2021.

 

The Interim Protection of Informal Land Rights Act, 1996 (Act No. 31 of 1996), has been amended by the Extension of the Application of the Provisions of the Interim Protection of Informal Land Rights Act, 1996 (Act No. 31 of 1996), as per Notice No. 1635 of GG45687 dated 20 December 2021.

 

The Labour Relations Act, 1995 (Act No. 66 of 1995), has been updated with the Renewal of Period of Operation of the Wage and Task Grade Collective Agreement under Notice No. R.1414 of 1 November 2019 of the Bargaining Council for the Civil Engineering Industry (BCCEI), as per Notice No. R. 1605 of GG45645, dated 17 December 2021.

 

The Statistics Act, 1999 (Act No. 6 of 1999), has been updated with the publication of the Date of Population Census 2022, as per Notice No. 1628 of GG45655, dated 15 December 2021.

 

The Pharmacy Act, 1974 (Act No. 53 of 1974), has been updated by Fees Payable to the Council under the Act, as per Board Notice 185 of GG45664 dated 17 December 2021.

 

The Medicines and Related Substances Control Act, 1965 (Act No. 101 of 1965), has been updated with the Extension to the Exemption of Medical Devices and In-Vitro Diagnostics (IVDs) from the Provisions of Section 18A and Section 18B of the Act, as per Notice No. 1632 of GG45673 dated 17 December 2021.

 

The Employment of Educators Act 1998 (Act No. 76 of 1998), has been updated by the publication of Improvement in Conditions of Service: Annual Cost-of-Living Adjustment for Educators employed in terms of the Act, with effect from 1 April 2021, as per Notice No. 1600 of GG45640, dated 15 December 2021.

 

The Electronic Communications Act, 2005 (No. 36 of 2005), has been updated with a Notice of the Implementation of the Number Portability Regulations, 2018 and Repeal of Notice No. 392 of 2018, as per General Notice No. 731, GG45653, dated 15 December 2021.

 

The Disaster Management Act, 2002 (Act No. 57 of 2002), has been updated with Amendments to Regulation 75(1) of the Regulations under Notice R. 480 of 29 April 2020, as per Notice No. R. 1646 of GG45697 dated 21 December 2021.

 

The Competition Act 1998 (Act No. 89 of 1998), has been updated by a Notice of Designation in terms of Section 10(3)(b)(iv) of the Act, as per Notice No. 741 of GG45691 dated 21 December 2021.

 

The Carbon Tax Act, 2019 (Act No. 800 of 2019), has been updated by the publication of Renewable Energy Premium in respect of Tax Period for purposes of Symbol “B” in Formula contained in Section 6(2) of the Act, as per Notice No. 1627 of GG45654 dated 15 December 2021.

 

The Value Added Tax Act, 1991 (Act No. 89 of 1991), has been updated by a Public Notice in terms of Section 20(5B) of the Act prescribing the particulars that a Tax Invoice must contain if the Supply by a Vendor relates to any Enterprise contemplated in paragraphs (b)(vi) and (b)(vii) of the Definition of "Enterprise" in Section 1(1) of the Act, as per Notice No. 1583 of GG45616 dated 10 December 2021.

 

The Tourism Act, 2014 (Act No. 3 of 2014), has been updated by the Norms and Standards for the Safe Operations of Tourism Sector in the context of the Coronavirus COVID-19 and Beyond, as per Notice No. 696 of GG45568, dated 3 December 2021.

 

The Special Investigating Units and Special Tribunals Act 1996 (Act No. 74 of 1996) has been updated by the publication of the Referral of matters to existing special investigating units: Alexkor SOC Limited, as per Proclamation No. R.45 of GG45617 dated 10 December 2021.

 

The Public Finance Management Act, 1999 (Act No. 1 of 1999), has been updated by the publication of the Borrowing Powers of Public Entities Listed under Schedule 3 Part A of the Act, as per Notice No. 1593, GG45623, dated 10 December 2021.

 

The Project and Construction Management Professions Act, 2000 (Act No. 48 of 2000), has been updated with Fees and Charges for the financial year 1 April 2022 to 31 March 2023 in terms of the Act, as per Board Notice 176 of GG45615 dated 9 December 2021.

 

The National Heritage Resources Act, 1999 (Act No. 25 of 1999) has been amended by the Declaration of Ten (10) Kramats in the “Circle of Tombs” situated at various locations around the Cape Peninsula, Western Cape as National Heritage Sites, as per Notice No. 1571 of GG45602, dated 3 December 2021.

 

The Medicines and Related Substances Control Act, 1965 (Act No. 101 of 1965), has been updated with the Exclusion of Schedule 0 Medicines from the Operations of Sections 22G and 18A of the Act, as per Notice No. 1581 of GG45614 dated 10 December 2021.

 

The Disaster Management Act, 2002 (Act No. 57 of 2002), has been updated with an Extension of a National State of Disaster (COVID-19), as per Notice No. R. 1598 of GG45633 dated 10 December 2021.

 

The Deeds Registries Act, 1937 (Act No. 47 of 1937), has been updated by Amendments to the Deeds Registries Amendment Regulations, 2021 under Notice R.474 of 29 March 1963, as per Notice No. R. 1595, GG45625, dated 10 December 2021.

 

The Conservation of Agricultural Resources Act, 1983 (Act No. 43 of 1983), has been updated by Amendments to the Soil Conservation Scheme, as per Notice No. 1580 of GG45616, dated 10 December 2021.

 

The Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act, 1993 (Act No. 130 of 1993), has been updated with a Notice issued by the Compensation Commissioner under the Act, as per Notice No. 1575 of GG45614, dated 9 December 2021.

 

The Petroleum Products Act, 1977 (Act No. 120 of 1977), has been updated with an Erratum Notice to the Adjustment of Fuel Prices – Effective 1 December 2021, as per Notice No. R. 1560 of GG45569 dated 1 December 2021.

 

The Disaster Management Act, 2002 (Act No. 57 of 2002), has been updated with the Withdrawal of Notice No. 290 of 2021 and new Directions on Taxi Relief Fund towards the impact of COVID-19 in the taxi industry, 2021, as per Notice No. 1567 of GG45575 dated 2 December 2021.

 

The Customs and Excise Act, 1964 (Act No. 91 of 1964) has been updated by Amendments to Customs and Excise Rules – Rule 59A.03 and insertion of Rule 120.13, as per Notice No. R.1563 of GG45570 dated 3 December 2021.

The Cybercrimes Act, 2020 (Act No. 19 of 2020), has been updated with the Commencement of Certain Sections of the Cybercrimes Act, 2020 (Act No. 19 of 2020), as per Proclamation No. 42 of GG45562 dated 30 November 2021.

 

The Cybercrimes Act, 2020 (Act No. 19 of 2020), has been added to the site on 8 December 2021, as per Notice No. 324 of GG44651 dated 1 June 2021.

 

The Allied Health Professions Act, 1982 (Act No. 63 of 1982), has been updated by Amendments to the Guidelines for Continuing Professional Development (CPD), as per Board Notice 170 of GG45536 dated 26 November 2021.

 

The Tax Administration Act, 2011 (Act No. 28 of 2011), has been updated by the Withdrawal of Notice 1461 of 2021 and a new publication of Incidences of Non-Compliance by a Person in terms of Section 210(2) of the Tax Administration Act, that are subject to a Fixed Amount Penalty in accordance with Section 210 and 211 of the Act, as per Notice No. 1531 of GG45540 dated 26 November 2021.

 

The Petroleum Products Act, 1977 (Act No. 120 of 1977), has been updated with the Amendment of the Regulations in respect of petroleum products, as per Notice No. R. 1536 of GG45561 dated 30 November 2021.

 

The Labour Relations Act, 1995 (Act No. 66 of 1995), has been updated with a List of Bargaining Councils accredited by the CCMA, as per Notice No. 682 of GG45536, dated 26 November 2021.

 

The Architectural Profession Act, 2000 (Act No. 44 of 2000), has been updated by the publication of Guideline Professional Fees issued in terms of Section 34(2) of the Act, as per Board Notice 172 of GG45554 dated 26 November 2021.

 

The Allied Health Professions Act, 1982 (Act No. 63 of 1982), has been updated by the inclusion of Guidelines for Continuing Professional Development (CPD), as per Board Notice 108 of GG42576 dated 12 July 2019.

 

The Agricultural Product Standards Act, 1990 (Act No. 119 of 1990) has been updated with the South African Meat Industry Company (SAMIC) : Fees effective 1 January 2022, as per Notice No. 683 of GG45536, dated 26 November 2021.

 

The Social Service Professions Act, 1978 (Act No. 110 of 1978), has been updated by Amendments to Notice No. R. 838 of 2014 : Fees Payable by Social Workers, Child and Youth Care Workers, Social Auxiliary Workers, Auxiliary Child and Youth Care Workers, Student Social Workers, Student Child and Youth Care Workers, Student Social, Auxiliary Workers and Student Auxiliary Child and Youth Care Workers 2021 Amendment Regulations, as per Notice No. R. 1512 of GG45501 dated 19 November 2021.

The Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2000 (Act No. 2 of 2000), has been updated by Regulations relating to the Promotion of Access to Information, 2021, as per Notice No. 1504 of GG45492 dated 16 November 2021.

The Disaster Management Act, 2002 (Act No. 57 of 2002), has been updated with a Classification of Local Disaster in terms of Section 23 of the Disaster Management Act: Fire in Masiphumelele Informal Settlement, City of Cape Town as per Notice No. 7, G44059 dated 6 January 2021.

 

The Petroleum Products Act, 1977 (Act No. 120 of 1977) has been updated by publishing amendments of Regulations in respect of petroleum products as per Notice No. R4 of GG44056 dated 5 January 2021.

 

The Disaster Management Act, 2002 (Act No. 57 of 2002), has been updated with Amendments to Notice 461 of 9 Apr 2020: Gatherings related to Sport, Arts and Culture Activities as per Notice No. 1, G44055 dated 5 January 2021.
