Prosthetic Knees

Rules:

The AMPPRO test determines the activity level of the patient (k-level)

Warrantees should be honoured as per supplier warrantee period, not less than 24 months

Knees are billed at a fixed rate independent of adapter type (screw top, pyramid top, knee disarticulation)

Only out of warrantee costs may be considered for funding where criteria is met, as per prescribed Gazette replacement period

Fee includes all protective covers and additional extras for functionality

"Special criteria" items requires detailed motivation from MSP and will be adjudicated based on merit and internal

criteria
