In this Notice, any word or expression to which a meaning has been assigned in the Act shall have that meaning and unless the context indicates otherwise—

"financial year"

means the period of one year commencing on the first day of March of one year and concluding on the last day of February of the succeeding year, or such other reporting period as may be determined by the council;

"the Act"

means the Dental Technicians Act, 19 of 1979; and

"VAT"

means value-added tax as contemplated in the Value-Added Tax Act, 89 of 1991.
