An education and training programme approved by the Council for purposes of registration as a pharmacist must extend over a minimum period of four years: provided that if such programme includes practical training to the satisfaction of the Council of not less than one year or periods of not less than one year in the aggregate, as part of the undergraduate studies, under the supervision of the provider concerned, such programme must extend over a minimum period of five years.
