| (b) |
who are practicing that trade. |
| (a) |
No person, whether employed or self-employed, may hold themselves out to be qualified as an artisan in a listed trade unless that person is registered as an artisan in terms of subsection (1). |
| (b) |
Paragraph (a) does not affect any requirement that any professional or regulatory body regulating any listed trade may require for the practice of that trade. |
| (3) |
For the purpose of this section, a person qualified to be an artisan in terms of any repealed Act includes any person who completed a contract of apprenticeship under a time-based apprenticeship system in terms of any conditions of apprenticeship published in terms of any repealed Act. |
| (4) |
The Minister may make regulations concerning— |
| (a) |
the criteria and procedure for the name of any person to be included on, or removed from, the register of artisans; |
| (b) |
any other matter necessary for maintaining the register of artisans. |
