| (1) | A non-executive member of the Board— |
| (a) | holds office for a term not exceeding five years on a part-time basis; |
| (b) | may be recommended for re-appointment for a further term not exceeding five years to ensure continuity, but may not serve for more than two consecutive terms; and |
| (c) | is appointed on such terms and conditions as the Minister may determine. |
| (2) | Anon-executive member of the Board or a member of any committee of the Board who is not in the full-time employment of the State must be paid such remuneration and allowances out of the funds of the Agency as may be determined by the Minister in consultation with the Minister of Finance. |
| (3) | Notwithstanding subsection (1)(a), a member of the Board may, with the authority of the Minister, remain in office after completion of his or her term of office until his or her successor takes office. |
| (4) | The extended term of office contemplated in subsection (3) may not exceed six months. |
