Any person who-
| b) |
has been duly summoned under section 79 and who fails, without sufficient cause- |
| i) |
to attend at the time and place specified in the summons; or |
| ii) |
to remain in attendance until excused from further attendance by the person presiding at the inquiry; |
| c) |
has been called upon under section 79(2)(b) and who refuses to be sworn or to make an affirmation as a witness; |
| d) |
fails, without sufficient cause – |
| i) |
to answer fully and satisfactorily any question lawfully put to him under section 79(2)(c); or |
| ii) |
to produce any register, book, document or thing in his possession or custody or under his control which he has been required to produce under section 79(2)(c); |
| f) |
refuses or fails to comply to the best of his ability with any requirement or request made by any inspector or police official in the performance of his functions under this Act; |
| g) |
refuses or fails to answer to the best of his ability any question which any inspector or police official in the performance of his functions under this Act has put to him; |
| h) |
wilfully furnishes to any inspector or police official information which is false or misleading; or |
| i) |
except for the purposes of performing his functions under this Act or when required to do so by any court or under any law, discloses to any other person any information acquired by him in the performance of his functions under this Act, |
shall be guilty of an offence.
